Blueberry Chia Seeds Smoothie

Blueberry Chia Seeds Smoothie is one of the most healthiest smoothie. It is my favourite too!!

HEALTH BENEFITS

Blueberry and Chia seeds are good source of anti oxidants and blueberry helps in anti-aging too. Both yogurt and honey mixed together are good source of probiotics.

Blueberries are low in calories and high in nutrients. It also helps to protect against cancer and it promotes good heart health.

Chia seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, iron and calcium. It also helps to protect against heart attack and stroke.

So the combination of these two is a healthy and a tasty combo!!

INGREDIENTS

Serving for 4 people

  • Blueberry- 300 gms
  • Chia seeds- 4 tbsp
  • Yogurt- 1 bowl (fresh curd can be used if it is not sour)
  • Honey- 3 tbsp ( if using brown sugar 2 tbsp is fine)

PROCEDURE

Blueberry is blended without adding water to smooth
Mixture of yogurt with chia seeds and honey ( make sure enough water added to yogurt because chia seeds tend to absorb water and this mixture is refrigerated for 4 hours or overnight).
Blueberry is blended to be smooth without adding water.
Now mix both together.
It is ready to serve. It tastes better when served chill.

TIPS

  • Make sure to add enough water to the yogurt because chia seeds absorb water.
