Bread Banana Toast

A very tasty, healthy breakfast to begin the day with!! I love bananas and I have shared many banana recipes so far. This is something very unique, easy and tastiest recipe I have tried!!

It requires very limited ingredients and all these ingredients are simple commonly available in kitchen.

My kids love bread and they like anything new tried out of it. I have used brown bread and brown sugar for this recipe. If you would like to use white bread and white sugar, please go ahead.

Brown sugar is added in three different steps. So keep an eye on it.

The cinnamon used in this recipe is purely optional. You can skip it if you don’t have!! Using ripened bananas add better taste to it.

INGREDIENTS

The below quantity can make 6 bread banana toasts.

  • Bread Slice- 6
  • Ripened banana- 2 medium sized
  • Egg- 1
  • Brown Sugar- 3 tbsp ( white sugar can be used)
  • Milk- 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon powder- 1/4th tsp ( optional).

PROCEDURE

Slice the bananas to circles.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a pan.
Add the sliced bananas.
Start to saute them till they are very soft.
Once they are very soft, mushy and the color starts to change, add 1 tbsp of brown sugar.
Saute till it turns brown completely. This caramel effect should happen.
The stuffing is ready. Keep it separate.
Take 1 egg in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of brown sugar to it.
Add 1 tbsp of milk. Whisk it together.
Keep this mix separate.
Now slice the corners of the bread with a knife.
Take one bread slice now. Start rolling it with a rolling pin. Roll it very thin starting from the corners.
It gets very flat and thin like this.
Now keep the banana stuffing inside.
Now start to spread the egg mix around the corners of the bread so that it is easy to stick and close the corners.




Start rolling the bread now.
Seal it on the corners.
Repeat the process and keep all the rolled bread slices ready.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a pan. Keep the flame in medium. Add the rolled and stuffed bread slices. Now saute them on all the sides till they turn brown.
Perfect to take out.
Now mix 1 tbsp of brown sugar and 1/4th tsp of cinnamon in a plate. Roll the sauted bread slices on it.
Arrange them all together. Ready.
