Peanuts Ladoo

Peanuts are our family favourite snack. Anything, I make out of them will be liked by everyone in my family.

Peanuts are rich in nutrients. They are high in fat and proteins. They are also high in calories. They are the good source for weight loss as they are low in carbs.

If you are in a weight loss program, eating a handful of peanuts when you are hungry will help to stop in consuming more food because peanuts are very filling. I have tried this when I wanted to lose some weight and it worked.

Now coming to the peanut ladoos, they are my favourite!! This is very easy to make and requires only two main ingredients. Cardamom powder which I used is just for aroma. If you don’t have, just skip it. These ladoos are very tasty and full of energy.

Fresh peanuts or roasted peanuts with or without skin but unsalted one’s can be used for making these ladoos. Only the roasting process and peeling the skin if using the peanuts with skin on, takes sometime but it is totally worthy.

In this recipe, we are going to make soft peanut ladoos. They are the best lunch box snack for everyone!!

The below quantity makes 16 peanut ladoos.

  • Peanuts- 1 cup
  • Jaggery- 1/2 cup ( if you want it to be more sweet, use 3/4th cup)
  • Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp.

Take a pan and dry roast peanuts in medium flame. Keep on stirring so that it doesn’t get burnt.
Roasted well. Peanuts should be completely crunchy and not raw.
Once it cools down to room temperature, peel the skin.
Once the peanuts are cooled down to room temperature, move it to the mixer. Just grind two to three rounds in a mixer so that it is crushed to
Now add jaggery and cardamom powder. Grind it again to a smooth paste.
It is ready to be rolled as balls. It can be rolled easily because peanuts leave oil. Otherwise rub ghee in your palm.
