Sweet Lassi and Mango Lassi

I have come today with a popular traditional yogurt-based drink originated from the Indian subcontinent- Lassi❤ It is my favourite!! This is my default drink to be ordered whenever I visit Indian restaurants.

Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, either spices or sugar and sometimes with fruit too..

Lassi is a healthy and natural remedy for stomach bloating. Since it is made with yogurt or dahi, it helps to maintain a healthy digestive system. It contains lactobacilli, a healthy bacteria that lubricates the intestine and helps in good digestion.

While lassi can be consumed as just a drink, but practically it is an excellent combination for spicy food. It’s very popular during summer but it is good for any season.

It is easy to make lassi at home because all you need is basic ingredients available at home. There are many types of lassi available- salt lassi, sweet lassi, mango lassi etc..,

Let us see today, how to make sweet lassi and mango lassi. It tastes good when served chilled❤

Sweet Lassi:


  • Yogurt- 1 cup
  • Water- 1/4th cup
  • Sugar- 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom- pinch
  • Nuts- little chopped( to garnish)


Blend the yogurt, water and sugar in a mixer or blender. Hand whisk can be used too.

Mango Lassi:


  • Ripe mango- 1 cup ( chopped)
  • Yogurt- 1 cup
  • Water- 1/2 cup
  • Sugar- 2 tbsp
  • Cardomom- pinch
  • Nuts- little ( to garnish)


Blend mango, yogurt, water and sugar in a mixer or blender till smooth.

Garnished with cardamom and nuts on top.


  • Thick curd can be used if it is not sour.
  • Any nuts of your choice can be used for garnishing.
  • Mango pulp can be used too.
  • Tastes better when served fresh and chilled.
