Oats Banana Smoothie

Smoothie is a drink made from raw fruit, vegetables using blender. It often has a liquid base such as milk, yogurt, ice cream or fruit juice.

Oats banana smoothie is a perfect breakfast smoothie which is quite filling and it is a perfect drink on the go. It is so creamy that you will feel like having milkshake in the morning.

As I have said already, I would always like to include oats wherever possible. Bananas added to it gives a good aroma and texture. Both oats and banana gives good thickness to this smoothie. It is full of energy.

I have used dates as a natural sweetener. Use soft dates for best results. Deseed the dates before using. If you do not have or like to use dates, use 2 tablespoon of sugar.

INGREDIENTS

  • Ripened Banana- 1 large
  • Oats- 2 tbsp
  • Dates- 4 ( soft and deseeded one’s )
  • Milk- 300 ml
  • Cinnamon powder- 1/4th tsp ( optional).

PROCEDURE

Soak 2 tbsp of oats, 4 dates in 100 ml. of hot milk. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes.
After 20 minutes, move everything to blender.
Cut banana to small pieces and add them.
Blend it to rough.
Add 1/4th tsp of cinnamon powder( optional). Skip this step if you do not have.
Add 200 ml. of remaining cold milk. Blend everything till smooth.
Ready. See it is very creamy and thick.




TIPS

  • Smoothies taste good when served chilled and fresh.
  • Use ice cubes if needed.
